New 24 inch TV I got for $200 (cdn)
_702240_25.jpg)
Hey I was shopping around for a tv and i found one. It is 26 inches long and 20 high (i think). Its pretty cool. I has a bunch of pointless features like: Calendar and Notepad and CC (unless you can't hear). I has settings that you can put on so the tv turns on and shuts off at a certain time. I think this Timer feature is neat but not so neat. With this feature you cannot set it to turn ON on the video imput only cable tv. So it will not turn on to the radio or your cd player or xbox. The other thing that bugs me with the tv is that when you are in the options menu and you go ahead alot and then press "go back" it just switches the tv to static, kinda weird. Also if you use the notepad funtion it can get annoying having a screen pop up when you turn on the tv. I suggest never to use this function ever!
The tv is great though there were just a few things i had to change.
Xbox- i had to go into the setting and switch it to wide screen, why? so that it almost completly eliminates the black bars on the top and bottom.
TV- i had to switch it to surround sound from one of the buttons on the tv controller.
Remote- Programmed my universal tv remote
To see the TV with the description go to the RCA website. Well in other news my audiovox controllers don't work anymore. When i started charging them they smelt like hot glue kinda wierd. Anyways i got my full refund I deserved. The package said flat TV but what it actually was was just a flat picture tube ohh well it is a little bubble screen but i dont care. It was a great snag at $200 dollars (nice). The model number is 24V510T .

hooking up surround sound by your self. Pictures too
I was going to buy some kind of brackets for the speakers, but then I noticed that they have a hole in the back for a screw. So I looked in my junk drawer and sound a few drywall screws they fit perfect and supported them well. You just have to remember to drill into nothing and to drill into a solid piece of wood. My friend Jim set a huge shelf with 5 brackets on it. It contained his whole book collection and 2 heavy speakers. Soon after about a week the shelf fell. The books slid down side ways and both speakers tumbled down denting the new hardwood flooring put in his new home (ouch).
This is one of my rear speakers.
If your wondering all the 5 speakers look like that.
This is the back of the speaker and as you can see it has a small hole that fits a dry walling screw. A general drywall srew may not be big enough for drilling holes in a corner but can be used on a flat surface.
This is the screw in the hole. Do not make the same mistake as me and put it too close to the windows. It may get moisture and plus my speaker didn't fit that close so I had to make 2 holes :(
Here is my subwoofer and as you can see I put a cloth over it. I put the cloth there because I might spill something on it. The cloth also covers the delicate fabric on the side that is really delicate
I know its not a big deal but if you see the top LED light that's orange it will flicker on and off FOREVER. I usually put something to block that flashing menace.

This plug had to go into the video plugin on my TV the other end goes to the subwoofer which has all the spaces for video and sound for it.
Right in the video spot
both the red and the white cable must be in for the surround sound to fully work
The black plugs are for my xbox and there is still a place for up to 2 more things. Or if you run out you could always go to radioshack and get one of those switch boxes that look like this:
But you probably don't need to
The remote feels light and kind of cheap but it works fine and came with its own batteries. The controls include volume for rear, front speakers and subwoofer. It also has a reset button which is handy if you screwed up the balance. The controller has a mute button, a channel button (for 5.1 to 2 speakers), a source button (for switching from sources of sound like the DVD player to the Computer). The controller is a good weight for flipping around in a 360.
Map that shows where all the cables go to.
here's my xbox, the surround sound works magnificient with it.
Here in my hand is a few cables it came with, It also came with a computer cable which plugs into your computer. The PC cable can also be used to hook into cable T.V. You must use your headphone jack on your TV if you want stereo sound when you watch T.V.
Here I had to clean out a bunch of stuff to make way for my SS system. Some stuff I didn't even know I have back there.
Some instructions it came with how to do obvious stuff like "changing batteries" also stuff I didn't know about like "changing your fuse" I wouldn't chuck it just in case it starts to act funny
Here's the SS receipt that came up to 68.22
here's an excerpt from the instruction manual stating where each individual speaker goes and different options
The original Box that it came in

The opened box. I think they shipped it bad or something because one of my speakers had a slight crack in it (which didn't change the sound quality)
